Ingredients
You will need:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup melted butter
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1½ cups all-purpose flour
Optional additions:
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a loaf tin with baking paper.Mash the bananas
In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth.Mix wet ingredients
Stir in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.Add dry ingredients
Sprinkle in baking soda and salt. Gently fold in flour until just combined. Add optional extras if using.Bake
Pour batter into prepared tin and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.Cool & serve
Allow to cool in the tin before slicing.
