Ingredients for Banoffee Pie
For the base:
250g plain sweet biscuits (e.g. digestive or similar)
125g melted butter
For the filling:
1 can caramel or dulce de leche
3–4 ripe bananas
For the topping:
300ml thickened cream
1–2 tablespoons icing sugar (optional)
Optional:
Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for topping

Prepare the base
Crush the biscuits finely and mix with melted butter. Press firmly into the base of a lined pie dish. Chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to set.Add the caramel
