A Simple Everyday Meal Using What’s in the Cupboard
Falai Pisupo & Noodles is another quick fix many Samoan families rely on. It’s made the same way as falai pisupo, but with noodles added to stretch the meal and make it even more filling. Any noodles can be used — whatever is already in the cupboard.
Instant noodles like Mi Goreng are especially popular because the flavour sachets can be added straight in. Other noodles such as Maggi or home-brand noodles work just as well, with a little seasoning and soy sauce added for flavour. This dish is most often served with rice for a full and satisfying meal.
Ingredients for Falai Pisupo & Noodles
1 tin corned beef (pisupo)
1 onion, finely sliced
1–2 packets instant noodles (any brand)
Oil, for cooking
Optional:
Garlic
Dark soy sauce (especially if using plain noodles)
Noodle seasoning sachets (if included)

Option 1 – Pre-cooked noodles:
