500g beef mince
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
400g tin crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
Salt and pepper, to taste
400g pasta (penne, spirals, or shells)
Optional:
Grated cheese, to serve

Step-by-Step Instructions
Cook the pasta – Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and cook pasta according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
Brown the mince – Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened. Add beef mince and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
