A special Gen FX reflection on today’s EFKS message.

Weekly EFKS Theme:
Unity in the body of the church

📖 Bible Reading:
Psalm 133:1–3
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

Dear Gen FX,

Unity is often spoken about, but not always understood. It is easy to agree in words, yet harder to live in harmony when differences appear. Today’s reading gives us a clear picture of what unity looks like when it is rooted in faith.

The reading, explained

Psalm 133 is a short song that celebrates people living together in harmony. The psalmist compares unity to precious oil flowing down and to refreshing dew that brings life to dry land.

These images describe unity as something that comes from God and brings blessing. It is not forced or manufactured, but received and shared.

What this theme is pointing to

Unity does not mean everyone is the same.
It does not erase differences.
It does not avoid disagreement.

Instead, unity is about choosing connection, respect, and shared purpose within the body of the church.

Where this meets real life

Think about a team that works well together. Each person has a different role, but the group moves in one direction. When unity is present, effort feels lighter and progress becomes possible.

In church life, unity allows people to grow, serve, and worship together despite differences.

One thing to hold on to

Unity is not created by uniformity, but by shared commitment and love.

Closing prayer

God, teach us to live in unity with one another.
Help us value connection over division.
Let Your blessing flow where Your people live together in peace.

Signing off,
Alofa Tunoa
