Today’s Reading: Luke 7:1–10
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.”
(Luke 7:6–7, KJV)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Finding Jesus: Encounter
A Thought for Today
The centurion did not come to Jesus with demands. He came with humility, trusting that Jesus’ authority did not depend on distance or presence.
Faith spoke quietly, but confidently.
What This Means for Us Today
This encounter shows us that true faith recognises who Jesus is. The centurion believed that Jesus did not need to come physically — His word alone was enough.
Freedom and healing followed humility. The servant was restored because faith trusted Jesus completely.
Carry This With You
Trust the power of Jesus’ word today.
Faith does not need control — it rests in confidence.
A Simple Prayer
God, teach us humility and trust.
Help us to believe in the power of Your word
and rest in Your authority.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Pause today and place one concern into God’s hands, trusting that His word is enough to bring healing and peace.
