Today’s Reading: Luke 2:22–35
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“For mine eyes have seen thy salvation.”
(Luke 2:30, KJV)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Finding Jesus: Finding the Youth Jesus
A Thought for Today
Simeon had waited many years to see the Messiah. When he finally held the child Jesus, his long season of waiting was met with peace.
God’s promises are often fulfilled quietly, but never late.
What This Means for Us Today
Finding the young Jesus through the old people reminds us that faith is shaped over time. Simeon recognised Jesus not because of outward signs, but because his heart had learned to trust God through years of waiting.
God often uses those who have walked faithfully with Him to help others recognise His work.
Carry This With You
Trust God’s timing today.
What He has promised, He will fulfil.
A Simple Prayer
God, thank You for Your faithfulness across generations.
Teach us to wait with trust
and to recognise Your work when it appears.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Take a moment today to thank God for the people who have walked faithfully before you, and ask Him to help you learn from their quiet trust.
