Today’s Reading: Psalm 148:1–14
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
(Psalm 148:14, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
Emmanuel — God With Us

A Thought for Today

As the year comes to an end, Psalm 148 calls all creation to praise God.
Every voice, every life, every breath is invited.

Thankfulness is the heart’s natural reply to who God is.

What This Means for Us Today

Gratitude does not come only from perfect circumstances. It grows when we recognise God’s faithfulness through every season.

Looking back over the year, there may have been joy and sorrow, clarity and confusion. Through it all, Emmanuel has remained true.

Thankfulness becomes our response — not because everything was easy, but because God was present.

Carry This With You

As you prepare to step into a new year, let gratitude shape your heart.
Praise reminds us of what truly matters.

A Simple Prayer

God, thank You for walking with us through this year.
Teach our hearts to respond with gratitude and praise.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Take a moment today to thank God for one thing from the past year —
and carry that gratitude into the year ahead.
