Names: People and Places
A Thought for Today
Names are often used to mark belonging. In today’s reading, God speaks of names not as labels, but as a seal of faithfulness and promise.
What This Means for Us Today
In Revelation, Jesus speaks to a faithful church. Though they may feel small or unnoticed, God assures them that they are known and secure. Writing a name is a sign of permanence, ownership, and protection.
This passage reminds us that faithfulness matters, even when it feels unseen. God’s promises are not temporary. To be sealed with His name is to belong to Him fully and forever.
Carry This With You
Rest in the truth that you belong to God.
His promises are secure and lasting.
A Simple Prayer
God, thank You for claiming us as Your own.
Help us remain faithful and trusting.
Seal our hearts in Your love.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Take a quiet moment today to reflect on where you belong.
Let God’s promise remind you that you are held securely by Him.
