Today’s Reading: Matthew 6:25–34
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“Therefore take no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”

(Matthew 6:34, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
The Gospel of Matthew: Instructions and Reassurance

A Thought for Today

Jesus speaks gently to anxious hearts. He reminds His listeners that life is more than food and clothing, and that God is already attentive to every need.

Worry does not add to our lives — trust does.

What This Means for Us Today

Jesus does not ignore our concerns, but He redirects them. He invites us to look at God’s care for creation as reassurance of His care for us.

Faith does not mean the absence of responsibility, but the presence of trust. When we place today in God’s hands, tomorrow becomes less overwhelming.

Carry This With You

Focus on today and trust God with tomorrow.
He knows what you need before you ask.

A Simple Prayer

God, quiet our anxious thoughts.
Teach us to trust You with today
and to rest in Your faithful care.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Pause today when worry arises, and gently place that concern before God, choosing trust over anxiety in that moment.
