Today’s Reading:
Matthew 16:1–20 (EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
(Matthew 16:15)

This week’s EFKS theme:
The Gospel of Matthew — The Authority of Jesus (Questioning and Establishing It)

A Thought for Today

There comes a point when the question about Jesus becomes personal.

What This Means for Us Today

People had many different ideas about who Jesus was.

Then Jesus turned to His disciples and asked them directly: “Who do you say I am?”

Peter answered with faith, recognising Jesus as the Messiah.

That same question still matters. Faith is not only knowing what others say about Jesus, but knowing who He is to us.

Carry This With You

Who do you say Jesus is?

A Simple Prayer

Lord Jesus, deepen my faith in who You are.
Help me know You, trust You, and follow You.

Today’s Invitation

Take Jesus’ question personally today:
“Who do you say I am?”

Let your answer shape the way you live.
