Today’s Reading: Matthew 2:7–12
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“And when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.”
(Matthew 2:11, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
Emmanuel — God With Us

A Thought for Today

After the celebration of Christmas, today’s reading invites us to reflect on what we offer in response.

The wise men did not come empty-handed. They came prepared to give.

What This Means for Us Today

The gifts brought to Jesus were valuable, thoughtful, and offered with intention. They were not chosen at random, but given as an act of worship.

Offering treasures is not only about material things. It can also mean offering our time, our attention, our obedience, and our hearts.

Because Emmanuel is with us, our giving becomes a response to God’s presence, not an obligation.

Carry This With You

Ask yourself today:
What can I offer God right now — with sincerity and gratitude?

Even small offerings, given faithfully, matter.

A Simple Prayer

God, thank You for the gift of Your Son.
Help us to offer our lives to You with willing hearts.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Take a quiet moment today to offer something meaningful to God —
your time, your gratitude, or your trust.
