Today’s Reading: Isaiah 62:1–5
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken;
neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate.”
(Isaiah 62:4, KJV)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Names: People and Places
A Thought for Today
God speaks words of hope to His people, promising new names where there was once shame and loss. What was called forsaken is now called delight.
God’s promises rename our future.
What This Means for Us Today
Names in Scripture often carry identity and destiny. In this passage, God replaces sorrow with joy and abandonment with belonging. His promises remind us that our worth is not defined by past pain or present struggle.
God delights in His people and speaks hope where despair once lived.
Carry This With You
Hold onto God’s promises today.
What He names, He restores with hope and purpose.
A Simple Prayer
God, thank You for speaking hope over our lives.
Help us to trust Your promises
and to walk in the identity You give.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Take a moment today to reflect on a promise God has spoken in Scripture, and allow it to reshape how you see yourself and your future.
