Today’s Reading:
Matthew 27:32–56 (EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
(Matthew 27:46)
This week’s EFKS theme:
(The Gospel of Matthew: From Death to Resurrection)
A Thought for Today
Suffering and glory meet at the cross.
What This Means for Us Today
Jesus endured deep suffering, rejection, and pain.
What looked like defeat was, at the same time, the unfolding of God’s purpose.
In this moment of sorrow, there is also quiet majesty.
The cross reminds us that even in the darkest places, God is still at work.
Carry This With You
God’s presence does not leave, even in suffering.
A Simple Prayer
Lord, stay near in my hardest moments.
Help me to trust You, even in silence.
Today’s Invitation
Sit quietly with the cross today.
Let its meaning settle gently in your heart.
