“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you.”
(Matthew 5:44, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
The Gospel of Matthew: Christ’s Ministry Begins

A Thought for Today

Jesus speaks of a love that goes beyond fairness and retaliation. He calls His followers to love even when it is difficult, undeserved, or costly.

This kind of love reflects the heart of God.

What This Means for Us Today

Loving others as Jesus teaches is not about emotion alone, but about choice. It is a decision to respond with grace instead of anger, forgiveness instead of resentment.

Jesus reminds us that God’s love is generous and patient, extended to all. When we choose to love this way, we live out the character of our Father in heaven.

Carry This With You

Choose love today, even when it is challenging.
God’s love, lived out through us, has the power to heal and transform.

A Simple Prayer

God, teach us to love as You love.
Give us grace to forgive,
and strength to respond with compassion.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Ask God today to help you show love in a difficult situation, trusting Him to guide your words and actions with grace.
