Today’s Reading: John 18:1–12
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon Him,
went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?”

(John 18:4, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
Finding Jesus: Encounter

A Thought for Today

Judas arrived with a crowd, carrying a plan already decided. Jesus, fully aware of what was about to happen, stepped forward calmly to meet them.

Even in betrayal, Jesus remained steady and present.

What This Means for Us Today

Judas’ journey reminds us that being close to Jesus does not always mean walking faithfully with Him. Encounters with Christ can either soften our hearts or harden them, depending on the choices we make.

Jesus did not hide or resist. He faced the moment with truth and surrender, showing that God’s purposes are never undone by human failure.

Carry This With You

Examine your heart honestly today.
True encounter with Jesus invites humility, repentance, and faithfulness.

A Simple Prayer

God, search our hearts and guide our steps.
Keep us close to You
and faithful in our choices.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Take a quiet moment today to ask God to reveal anything that draws your heart away from Him, and invite Him to lead you back with grace.
