“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
(Matthew 24:42)
This week’s EFKS theme:
The Gospel of Matthew — Warnings
A Thought for Today
We cannot always know what is coming, but we can choose how we live now.
What This Means for Us Today
Looking back often makes things clearer.
Jesus reminds His disciples that they will not have that advantage when it comes to everything ahead.
Rather than trying to know every detail of the future, He calls them to remain watchful and faithful in the present.
Carry This With You
You do not need to know tomorrow to live faithfully today.
A Simple Prayer
Lord, keep me attentive and faithful.
Help me use the day You have given me well.
Today’s Invitation
Do one thing today that you know you have been putting off.
Be faithful with the present.
