Today’s Reading: Isaiah 63:7–9
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them.”
(Isaiah 63:9, KJV)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Emmanuel — God With Us
A Thought for Today
It is easy to say that God is with us.
But in difficult moments, we may quietly ask: How do we know?
What This Means for Us Today
Isaiah reminds us that God is not distant from human suffering. He is present in it. When His people were in trouble, He was not untouched by their pain.
God with us does not mean a life without hardship. It means we are never alone in it.
This is how we know Emmanuel is real — God walks with His people, even in their affliction.
Carry This With You
When you feel weary or unsure, remember this:
God sees, feels, and carries you through what you face.
A Simple Prayer
God, thank You for being near in every season.
Help us trust Your presence, even when life is hard.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Pause today and reflect on where God has carried you through difficulty —
and give thanks for His presence.
