Today’s Reading: Mark 2:3–12
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralysed man,
‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’”
(Mark 2:5)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Finding Jesus: Encounter
A Thought for Today
The paralysed man did not come to Jesus alone. He was carried by friends who believed that an encounter with Jesus could change everything.
Faith was not only spoken — it was shown.
What This Means for Us Today
This encounter reminds us that faith is often lived out together. The friends did not let obstacles stop them. They carried their friend, trusted Jesus, and made space for healing to happen.
Freedom came when faith was acted upon. Jesus met both the physical and spiritual need, offering forgiveness and restoration.
Carry This With You
Do not underestimate the power of faithful friendship.
God often works through those who carry us closer to Him.
A Simple Prayer
God, thank You for friends who walk with us in faith.
Strengthen our trust in You
and lead us into the freedom You offer.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Think of one person today who has helped strengthen your faith. Take a moment to thank God for them, and ask how you might support someone else in faith and love.
