This week’s EFKS theme:
The Gospel of Matthew: Christ’s Ministry Begins
A Thought for Today
As Jesus begins His ministry, He calls ordinary people to follow Him. They leave what is familiar and step into something new, trusting His direction.
Calling begins with a simple invitation.
What This Means for Us Today
Jesus’ calling did not come with a full explanation of what lay ahead. It required trust, movement, and willingness to continue walking with Him.
Faith is often lived out one step at a time. God calls us where we are, and He shapes us as we continue faithfully with Him.
Carry This With You
Listen for God’s invitation today.
Faith grows as we continue to follow, even without knowing every step.
A Simple Prayer
God, help us to hear Your call.
Give us courage to follow You
and faith to continue walking with You each day.
Amen.
Today’s Invitation
Take a moment today to consider where God may be calling you to follow Him more closely, and ask for the grace to take the next faithful step.
