Today’s Reading:
1 Samuel 9:5–10 (EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)
“His servant replied, ‘Look, in this town there is a man of God; he is highly respected, and everything he says comes true.’”
(1 Samuel 9:6)
This week’s EFKS theme:
Stolen from God: Slavery
A Thought for Today
Wisdom can come through someone whose voice is easy to overlook.
What This Means for Us Today
Saul was ready to turn back, but his servant offered another idea.
Saul listened.
Although the servant held less social authority, his advice helped move Saul toward an important encounter. Position does not determine whether someone has something valuable to contribute.
Carry This With You
Never assume status determines whose voice matters.
A Simple Prayer
Lord, give me humility to listen well.
Help me recognise wisdom wherever You place it.
Today’s Invitation
Listen carefully to someone you might normally overlook today.
They may have something worth hearing.
