Today’s Reading: Matthew 2:19–25
(EFKS Tusi Faitau Aso)

“But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither.”
(Matthew 2:22, KJV)

This week’s EFKS theme:
Emmanuel — God With Us

A Thought for Today

Joseph listens carefully to God’s guidance once again. The journey home is not straightforward, and the path he imagined is no longer safe.

So he returns — but by a different way.

What This Means for Us Today

God’s leading does not always bring us back the way we expect. Sometimes the safest and wisest path is not the most familiar one.

Joseph’s obedience shows us that following God requires attentiveness and humility. Trust means being willing to change direction when God says so.

Even on unfamiliar roads, Emmanuel remains true. God goes with us.

Carry This With You

If your plans have shifted or your path looks different than expected, remember this:
A different way does not mean a wrong way.

A Simple Prayer

God, help us to listen and trust when You lead us in new directions.
Give us peace as we follow You.
Amen.

Today’s Invitation

Today, ask God to help you trust His guidance — even when the path changes.
